Rachael Witt, RH (AHG) is an herbal educator and clinical herbalist based in the Pacific Northwest. She is the founder of Wildness Within; an herbal business that offers plant-focused apprenticeships and classes, herbal consultations and hand-made remedies. She acquired her certification as a Registered Herbalist with the American Herbalist Guild through her years of training with teachers Michael Tierra, Holly Hutton, EagleSong E. Gardener, Susan Talbert, Julia Bush Swanson, Lindsay Huettman and the East West School of Planetary Herbology. Rachael’s practice is rooted in the interconnectedness of natural cycles, energetics, Traditional Chinese Medicine Five Phases and ancestral traditions.

She has a degree in Ecology and Evolution Biology with an emphasis in Plant Ecology. Prior to living in the PNW she studied ethnobotany, horticulture and ecology in Ghana, Puerto Rico, Colombia and various places throughout the United States. Rachael has accumulated her botanical experiences abroad into a niche practice of teaching people how to connect with place and their well-being through botanical and ecological awareness, gardening, wild-harvesting and processing plants for food and medicine.

Rachael is dedicated to simple, seasonal living with land and teaching people hands-on-earth skills. She lives and stewards the Highlands Homestead in Duvall, WA with her husband and daughter (as well as their dog, cats, ducks and chickens).
