Imbolc: Celebrating the Goddess of Fertility

Blessed be cross-quarter day, day of the goddess of fertility and renewal, this first day of spring!

Happy Imbolc, Goddess Brigid/St. Brigid day, Lunar New Year, Vietnamese Tết, Chinese New Year and the day that goes by many, many other names, celebrated by cultures traditional and modern alike throughout temperate northern hemisphere of Mother Earth.

How beautiful to feel connected to all our sisters and brothers around the globe on this special day!

We celebrate this cross quarter day, and the few days around Feb 1st, falling between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox as a significant, pregnant time, welcoming the renewal of life and fertility, honoring the goddess of life.

Though, for many of us, the days are still cold, day length is steadily growing longer, tree buds are swelling and other subtle first signs of awakening are welcome sights.

Our family wishes you many blessings of joy, growth, nourishment, warmth, light and fertility as we move into spring!
