Our family is proud to grow seeds for gardeners and homesteaders. Seed work gives us immense joy and serving fellow gardeners gives us a greater sense of self worth.

Hi! We are Noel and Ann and we grow seeds at a homestead scale. I (Noel) am passionate about growing perennial food and diverse veggies. Ann is hooked on growing flowers, especially perennial flowers. We both love growing perennial herbs.

Our gardens are messy, diverse, colorful, beautiful, aromatic and tasty—just the way we like them! We say we are forest gardening, because we don’t just dabble in food. We are growing a food forest, flower forest and medicinal forest, all woven together into something more special than we imagined.

Honestly, we should say we are growing a love forest, because our love for gardening, plants and seeds continues to bloom and grow. How is it possible that our hearts can keep swelling? My answer to that question, is to keep following this joyful thread, which unfailingly leads me back into the garden.

When gardeners purchase our seeds, they are helping tend our hearts’ gardens, because this work of growing seeds, in turn grows our love and respect for plants, gardens and life.

Our homestead gardens are small, compared to most other seed growers. Bigger than the average garden to be sure, but far smaller than most farms. We could call ourselves farmers, but it feels more appropriate and honest to say we are homesteaders.

We do just about everything in the garden by hand. No tractor and no powered tiller are found here. Though we do use the pickup truck to haul horse manure and goat manure from our generous animal loving friends. And then it’s wheelbarrow and pitch fork from there.

This work keeps us humble and honest. It helps us stay more grounded, which is quite helpful in this modern world. And it’s a bonus that this a family friendly endeavor.

I enjoy seeing our young son flitting around us in the gardens, watching, running, climbing, singing, playing, and then joining in our work when he’s inspired. He’s had his hand in just about everything, from wheel-barrowing manure, sowing seeds, making bouquets, harvesting food, to measuring and scooping seeds into our customers’ packets.

It’s not easy work, though toiling in the garden often feels easeful in other ways (like enjoying fresh air, bird songs, aromatic plants, healthy soil, and sunshine, to name a few).

Growing seeds part time is not a get rich endeavor, though we feel wealthier than we’ve ever felt before (the garden helped us understand that dollars can never measure true wealth).

Some say this lifestyle is not practical, though it feels impractical to imagine ourselves doing anything else (because we feel nourished in ways we could never have imagined before).

Because, because, because—our love for growing seeds. Because our love for life. Because our love for offering meaningful value in a modern world that surely needs more love, more Earth connection, more diversity and more gardens.

So yes, our family is proud to grow seeds for gardeners and homesteaders… and we are so glad you are on this journey with us!
